The multi-faceted project includes logo development, application to stationery system, a series of three posters, double-panel street banners, event tickets, and email blasts with optional web and pop-up design.

Stationery

The colors depicted for this logo are the national flower for Scotland, the thistle. With this notion of being different, the logo is titled to the side and contains uppercase and lowercase to break the norm.

3 Series Poster

The design for the series of posters was eye-catching, so the audience would feel welcome and wonder about the festival and anticipate the wide range of performers at the event and their shows.

Strategies used to present this festival’s differences are tilted line placement, proportion (scaled up) for boldness, and a rough outline of the performers to highlight them.

The use of organic lines for the tagline was to correlate with the logo to make it feel edgy. For the final logo, hand-drawn lines for the typography represent Edinburgh best through its famous tartan pattern.
